About the Conference
Rotary International Peace Conference · 25–27 February 2027 · Kigali, Rwanda
Rotary clubs in Rwanda — part of Rotary District 9150 — host the Rotary International Peace Conference in Kigali, welcoming approximately 1,000 Rotarians and Rotaractors from around the world. Presided by Rotary International President Rtn. Yinka Babaloa, the conference marks 60 years of Rotary service in Rwanda and its role in post-genocide reconciliation and development.
Kigali is recognized globally for safety, reconciliation, innovation, and world-class conference infrastructure — Rwanda's reputation as Africa's premier MICE destination, with visa-on-arrival access for all nationalities, makes it uniquely suited to host a global convening of this scale.
Objectives
Delegates from around the world discuss contemporary peace challenges and co-create solutions.
Sixty years of Rotary service in Rwanda, and its role in post-genocide reconciliation.
Young Rotarians and Rotaractors take the stage as next-generation peace advocates.
Partnerships between Rotary, governments, NGOs, academic institutions, and UN agencies.
Programme
Opening & High-Level Dialogues — an opening ceremony with the Government of Rwanda, Rotary International leadership, and UN agencies, a cultural showcase, and keynote sessions on Rotary's century of peacebuilding.
Breakout Sessions & Innovation Labs — parallel sessions on peace education, youth leadership, and climate peace, Rotary Peace Fellows research, and an exhibition of Rotary projects.
Field Visits & Closing — visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and community Umuganda, closing with the launch of the Kigali Peace Declaration.
